CTET 2024-25 Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1

• Candidates intending to sit for the CTET 2024 Paper 1 exam need to hold an Intermediate qualification.
• Additionally, they should have either completed a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) or a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd).

Papar 2

• For candidates aiming to appear for Paper II, a Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Alongside the Bachelor’s degree, candidates must have completed either a 2-year DElEd, a 4-year BElEd, or a 2-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) program.

CTET 2024-25 Exam Date

The official date for the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for the July 2024 Session has not been announced by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) yet.

• Applicants should note that the exam is tentatively scheduled to take place in the last week of July 2024.
• Paper I is expected to be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm, 
• while Paper II is anticipated to be held from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon.

CTET 2024 Application Fee

1. The application fee for a single paper in CTET is ₹1000 for individuals belonging to the General/OBC(NCL) category.

2. Candidates from the SC/ST and PH categories are required to pay only ₹500 for a single paper.

3. For applicants opting for both Paper I and II, the fee is ₹1200 for General/OBC(NCL) candidates.

4. SC/ST and PH candidates applying for both papers need to pay ₹600 as the application fee.

5. Payment can be made using a debit card, credit card, NET banking, or UPI.

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern

• The Teacher Eligibility Test for the July 2024 Session will be conducted offline.
• The exam duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
• The Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, will administer the test.
•  There will be a total of 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) in the exam.
• Questions will be distributed across various sections.
• Each question will carry 1 mark.
